What is it and what is it used for?

Mambe is a fine powder made by roasting and grinding Amazonian coca leaves, which are then mixed with the ash of alkaline plants such as *yarumo* or *cetico*. Its primary functions within Huitoto culture and among other Amazonian peoples are:
